About

I'm Mario Solen. I work in biotechnology and manufacturing, and I'm convinced that living systems are dynamic systems we will learn to engineer — that aging and the limits of human capability sit inside a problem we can actually solve, not outside the laws of physics.

That's a large belief and not yet a sharp one. This site exists to make it sharper. I publish essays and short videos as an investigator, not a prophet — I'd rather revise a position in public than defend one I chose while I was still confused.

I write mostly about bioprocess and manufacturing, longevity, and what it takes to build ambitious companies from Europe, where too much of the best science stays quiet. If any of that is your world too, the list below is the best way to follow along.
